Class Date: 5/13
Class time: 7-9pm
In this one-time Intro to Sewing class you will become acquainted with a sewing machine, its parts and how to use it! This is the prerequisite class for all other classes and the first class you should take to learn to sew at the studio. All materials and sewing machines are provided for this class.
You will learn how to thread the machine, wind the bobbin and get sewing to create a cute little drawstring bag. We’ll go over the basic lingo associated with sewing and prove that anyone can sew a straight seam.
Skills Covered: How to thread a machine, wind a bobbin, properly cut fabric, pin, and sew straight seams with the correct seam allowance. We also use bodkins to pull the drawstring through our bags.
Prerequisite: None, this is the first class any new student should take to learn how to sew.
