Just as Spring is showing her warmth, join Mandy for this 2-part Sunday garment workshop to cut and sew the Southport Dress from True Bias Patterns. A timeless silhouette with a drawstring waist, button front bodice, straps wide enough to hide your bra and two lengths, this sun dress will be your favorite to grab over and over this year.
This is an Adventurous Beginner/Intermediate Adult Course for ages 16+. Your fabric choice is what will make this project more or less challenging, and if you are unsure about your skill level contact us and we can chat about it!

Skills covered: measuring yourself and picking your size, following a garment sewing pattern, creating a drawstring casing and a partial front button placket- including buttonholes!
Materials Needed: (all registered students get 15% off in our shop!)
Please be on time for class with your supplies already purchased and ready to go.
- Lightweight woven fabric for your dress, such as double gauze, rayon challis, cotton lawn, etc. See yardage in photo or contact us for help.

- 3 yds single fold 1/2” bias tape
- 1/4 yd lightweight interfacing
- 4 x 1/4”-3/8” buttons
Materials Provided: A copy of the sewing pattern (a $20 value) , all sewing machines and tools

By purchasing a class or workshop you agree that there will be no refunds, transfers or credit given for the class after the designated start time. 100% refunds or class credit is available if requested up to 72 hours before the start of a class/workshop. No refunds will be given within 72 hours of the start of class unless your spot can be filled from a wait list, otherwise future class credit will be issued. No-Shows without an attempt to contact us prior to the start time of class (email, voicemail etc) will not be refunded, transferred or given credit. No make up classes are available. We will not transfer credit to a future class more than once.
In the case of inclement weather a credit towards a future class will be given. The instructor reserves the right to cancel class if there is insufficient enrollment in which case a refund will be offered. Most classes require 3 students to run
